ESPN publishes DirtyTackle’s FAKE Messi ghost quotes as if they were real

From DirtyTackle, Yahoo Sports:

Despite the first words of the post’s headline being “Future News” and it being clearly categorized as “nonsense,” ESPN wrote about these fictional quotes  (ahem, without crediting their source) in which Messi says his ghost will not accept Real Madrid’s spirit money in the afterlife as if they were things he actually said.

The original article (w/ FAKE quotes):

____________

This is the second time in a month that news sites have published DirtyTackle’s imaginary football conversations as real. The first time being some ridiculous Cesc Fabregas quotes. Bwahaha You’d think ESPN would be more careful about the news they post…

P.S. If you’re not familiar with DirtyTackle, you are missing out on some incredibly hilarious football related banter.

Andres Iniesta is The 40-Year-Old Virgin

Not really, we know. However, the two pics side by side made us giggle.

GARETH BALE?

They’ve done it. Tottenham have successfully cloned prized possession Gareth Bale and are well on their way to creating a their dream team comprised solely of Bales and Luka Modrics. JUST KIDDING!

Contrary to what your eyeballs have just lied to you about, that photo is not Gareth Bale. It is Spurs youth academy player Kenneth McEvoy. Eire though, isn’t it?

Random musings of footballers before they fall asleep…

From DirtyTackle: Yahoo Sports

Disclaimer: these are meant to only be jokes take it with a grain of salt.

Iker Casillas

Yes! YES! … This is how we’re going to beat Barcelona. …. 100 Chinese kids. … Let’s see Messi score when he’s got 50 of these guys crowded around him. … Mourinho is a genius. … What better way to fight the UNICEF conspiracy than with actual children? … There is no better way. … It is kind of weird that they all keep calling Cristiano “dad” though…

This is Lionel Messi (a.k.a. ‘Smerssi’) as a Smurf

Inspired by The Smurfs movie now repelling audiences around the world, the people at Globo’s Bola nas Costas blog decided to work their photoshop magic and turn a bunch of footballers into the little blue cartoon creatures. This is the result.

We particularly like Smurf Messi’s goatee and “Come at me, bro” stance. Smerssi will fight you. But if he’s a little too hard for your liking, then the Ronaldinho Smurf might be the one for you…

Linesman takes a not so sneaky picture right in front of Messi

Argentina played a friendly against Venezuela in India on Friday and the locals were beyond excited to host Lionel Messi and all his friends. In fact, the linesman was so desperate for a picture of the momentous occasion that he decided to quickly snap one just before the captains shook hands with the officials.

It’s hard to tell if he was trying to take a picture of Messi or the crotches of his fellow officials, but judging by Messi’s reaction, he felt like he was in the way.

DirtyTackle: Ibrahimovic has finally moved on from Pique

When Gerard Pique began publicly sucking face with Shakira, many people wondered how former teammate and the other half of the tenderest moment ever captured on film, Zlatan Ibrahimovic felt about it. Meanwhile, Ibra was off in Milan, alone, and venting his frustrations by kicking his teammates on a regular basis.

Well, as AS points out, Zlatan has finally found a new teammate who can help him forget about Pique and Shakira and the depravity between Xavi, Cesc Fabregas and Carles Puyol’s plaid shorts. Like Pique, Ignazio Abate is a 24-year-old defender and he, uh, really seems to be making Ibrahimovic happy. Maybe now he’ll stop kicking people.

We’ll always remember though…
